Escape Lodging actively seeks opportunities to develop projects in fiscally conservative towns that are inclined to limit sprawl and over-development. Cannon Beach serves as a good example of a town that has significantly restricted development, allowing the current hotels/resorts to enjoy the enormous demand for their limited product while retaining the integrity of their community, which further enhances its appeal by driving up demand and limiting supply.
Our philosophy is that limited competition is inevitable and it is not bad news. The addition of more upper echelon properties helps to build the locale as an affluent destination.
